room 1

salam.

i just hit the relaxing button only at this moment; after catching up trains & preparing for lunch box for school tomorrow. the first day at ngaio school was awesome. teachers were friendly and the kids were fun to chat with. i was assigned to observe year 2 class, around 6 to 7 years old. their school hours start at 9 in the morning and ends at 3 in the afternoon, with morning tea and lunch breaks. as they bring their own food, me might as well prepare ours. *not a big deal.i used to pack my meals when i go out. so, here goes the lesson. i found myself amazed that how these kids cooperate in pair work and group work though they're only 6 years old. not to mention that they watch discovery channel a lot that one of the kids told me about how dinosaurs live and how gigantic they're. the class is full with their artworks and that's cool!

the medium sized whiteboard for the planning of the lesson for that day. at the right side of it was the flow of the lesson for today. two swirly lines are their breaks. no fixed time. at the bottom, left, there's rewards written for the kids who behave well. free game, can go play at the next class etc. they're learning about short 'a' and long 'a' at this time. ehem. Miss Alia and Miss Azean, teacher helpers of the week. ;D

most kids : good afternoon Miss Alia & Miss Azean (choral).
one kid :   ........................ & Miss Azin. (??)
kid A : It's Azean, not Azin (chats & murmurs)

I knew that would happen. expected that. -_-''''''

the hallway. the one that i used to watch in the movies. bags and shoes outside with their names labelled at each hanger. colourssss :))

mini library shelf at the corner of the classroom. now tell me how couldn't they know more about facts when there's readings like world records and star wars in the class? shame on me. i don't read both T__T. the 'we have been writing description' binded book shows that the kids have even more sense on food. one kid wrote the ingredient for his pizza was a snail? with cheese? all i could think of was siput babi then u grate the cheese on it. oh oh it's on the pizza dough. errr.....

such a tiring day. have to walk early in the morning. heishh. guess that it's been long time that i didn't wake up that early. you know the earliest class that i've got the last semester was at 11 in the morning. no wonder. lol.

now been thinking about the lesson plan for this thursday. can't bother more with the topic that we've to teach. social studies-celebration, culture in malaysia.
-_-
